Dan Rather sits down with Australian Ambassador Kim Beazley to examine a similar mass shooting…in 1996 a gunman opened fire on tourists in Port Arthur, Tasmania, killing 32 people with a semi-automatic weapon. Nearly two weeks later, the Australian government passed gun control legislation and the country hasn’t witnessed a mass shooting since.
